ok the lowest of the order is an padwan-in Basic, was a child, or in some cases an adult, who began serious training under a Jedi Knight or a Jedi Master, chosen by the Knight or Master him/herself from the ranks of the younglings.
next a jedi-was a rank of Jedi in the Jedi Order, following the title of Padawan and preceding that of Jedi Master. A Padawan would become a Jedi Knight once he or she had passed the Jedi Trials. In theory, it could take a Padawan many years of training under another Jedi Knight or a Jedi Master to achieve this rank (example: Obi-Wan Kenobi spent twelve years under Qui-Gon Jinn before he became a Knight, Anakin Skywalker had trained for almost the same time as his master before he achieved the rank). Knights were the backbone to the Jedi Order, being the majority. Jedi who held this rank were assigned most of the standard Jedi missions. Because most of the Jedi were of the rank of Knights, the Jedi Order as a whole were often called Jedi Knights. It should be noted as well that many Knights were addressed as "Master," at least by their own apprentices.
A Jedi ace was a Jedi who had specialized in starfighter combat. Jedi aces would combine their piloting skills with their mastery of the Force, being able to perform almost impossible and daring maneuvers to down their enemies or avoid being downed themselves.
Jedi aces used their instincts and trusted the Force to lead them to victory. To many Jedi aces, piloting a starfighter and using their Force talents would bring them closer to the Force than anything else.
Some Jedi aces would use the Force not only to enhance their own flying but also to influence the mind of their opponents, causing them to be confused or to lose concentration. Luke Skywalker did this once while engaging in a dogfight with Imperial forces, but had serious doubts afterwards whether that technique was too dark.
A Jedi Advisor was a Jedi whom became a personal advisor to a Galactic Republic Senator. A Jedi could become a personal advisor to a Senator by becoming good friends with a Senator and having them request to the Reassignment Council for the Jedi to join their personal staff.
Battlemaster (or Sword Master) was the title for a head lightsaber combat instructor of the Jedi Order. During the Clone Wars, Cin Drallig was the Jedi Temple's premier battlemaster. Under the New Jedi Order, Kam Solusar taught lightsaber combat until approximately 13 ABY, when the title of Battlemaster was taken by Kyle Katarn.
Jedi Commander was a rank in the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. While all Jedi Masters and Jedi Knights were given the rank of Jedi General by edict of Supreme Chancellor Palpatine, all Padawans were given the rank of Jedi Commander in the new army, regardless of whether or not they wished to assume military duties.
A Shadow was a Jedi Agent for the Jedi Covenant who had been all but erased from all official documents and was known only to a few of the Covenant's members. Separate from the Jedi Order, the Shadows were based on the same concept as Jedi Shadows, though these agents were tasked with hunting down Sith artifacts. Among some of the captured treasures were the last Epistle of Marka Ragnos, Jori Daragon's amulet and the Eye of Horak-mul. Around 3,963 BBY agent Celeste Morne was given the task of finding the Muur Talisman on Taris. At this time, there were at least 30 Shadow Jedi.
Jedi Healers were specialized Jedi that aimed to use the Force to heal instead of (or in addition to) using it in combat.
Jedi Trainee referred to a Force-sensitive child who was undergoing the early stages of Jedi training—also known informally as a "youngling". Typically, the term of Initiate was used to describe those Jedi-in-training who were yet to become Padawans, not yet having been accepted by a Jedi Knight or Master for advanced training. In the years of the Galactic Republic, initiates typically spent most, if not all, of their time at the Jedi Temple, rarely venturing outside of its walls.
A Jedi prince would be expected to have superior, perhaps amazing, reflexes.
last Jedi investigators were specially appointed by the Jedi Council. Their primary objectives were to uncover hidden and obscure threats to the galaxy, such as powerful criminal syndicates, corruption and conspiracy against the Republic and other phantom menaces. There was also a special corps of Jedi Shadows who specialized in investigating threats involving the dark side
